Career: Lintel 118 (U18 National Team, Lithuania-Baltic League, 2005-06), TEO Vilnius (Lithuania-LMKL, 2006-09).

Petronyte is the next big thing for Lithuanian basketball. After dominating everyone as a member of Lithuania's youth teams - 20.8 ppg and 11.5 rpg during last year's U20 European Championship in Italy -, Gintare had an impressive run with the senior team during the qualifying round. In fact, the transition was so easy for her that she was propelled into the starting five straight off the bat. This power player with incredible upside's first experience with the senior national team came during the 2006 World Championship, when she was only 17-years-old. Last season, she had a hard time showcasing her talent at the EuroLeague Women level since she had to compete with American player Crystal Langhorne for minutes, with TEO Vilnius, but she's just too good to be limited to a backup role for too long. Last season, she finished as the leading rebounder and shot blocker of the LMKL league, and she was also the second best scorer! No wonder why everybody predicts a bright future for Petro-dynamite!
