Ivana Vecerova is one of the key players of the Czech national team, and has been their starting power forward for more than eight years. She debuted on the international scene when Jan Bobrovsky took the reins of the national team. She is above all a very good defensive player with great rebounding skills. She is not a prolific scorer but she is a good post-up player. Last summer, at the Olympic Games in Beijing, she was the second leading rebounder of the team. This season, she left national powerhouse Gambrinus Brno with Jana Vesela to join Ros Caseres in Spain.
