Hana Machova proved she could lead a team to a title at the national team level in 2005. In 2006, she showed she could bring the same leadership and winning mentality to the club side as she helped Gambrinus win the 2006 EuroLeague Women title. Machova averaged 11 ppg for the season and then had a 14-point, eight-rebound performance in Gambrinus’ triumph over CSKA Volgaburmash in the final. This is her seventh season with the Czech club.

Machova played a prominent role in the Czech Republic’s title at  EuroBasket Women 2005. She averaged 10.5 points per game – fourth best on the team – and led the squad in assists with 25 and steals with 17. In addition, she provided incalculable leadership. In the gold medal game against Russia, Machova connected on a crucial three-pointer with 2:03 remaining in the game that tied the score. She tallied a team-high 12 rebounds in the game. …. She has played with the Czech Republic in EuroBasket five different times. In 2006, she represented the Czech Republic at the FIBA World Championship for Women.
