The last EuroBasket Women tournament in 2007 marked somewhat of a turning point for Ciampoli as her career in the Azzurri vest belatedly took off when she was finally given an opportunity to shine. Possessing good body strength and always willing to stand toe to toe with opponents in the paint, she relishes a physical battle. She is also a competent shooter and while she played only a bit-part role during qualification, with four EuroLeague Women campaigns under her belt in the last five years, she now has the experience to come off the bench and do a solid job at this level. Playing on a talented Schio team, she is a great team player who is a good influence around the squad for both club and country.
