When Coach Lambruschi labelled Dacic as being the first true center in the history of the Italian national team, the hope was that Dacic would be a cornerstone of new found Italian success. However it has been a rocky road ever since with the temperamental Dacic not always around to showcase her talent due to injuries and what some have perceived as a lack of commitment. Even Coach Ticchi has spoken of her not being as enthusiastic as most players but she could still be a weapon. She did not exactly set EuroBasket Women 2007 alight and has had a mediocre season with Valencia but remains an intriguing and genuine ‘X' Factor for the Azzurri who with her could also cope better defensively with any dominant centres.
