Quiet but consistent performance is what Laura Camps brings to the team. The 31-year-old’s career has developed outside of the big-time as she spent four years at Florida International and four seasons playing for medium-level team Cadí La Seu. She has achieved success for the National Team thanks not only to her physical structure (there aren’t many Spanish players taller than 1.85 m who can play beyond the three-point line) but also because of her teamwork. Although she signed for Perfumerías Avenida after a bad season in La Seu, Laura is one of the secrets weapons in the club’s recent success as she is always ready to encourage her teammates. Camps missed last year’s World Championship in Brazil because of injury and hopes EuroBasket Women 2007 will be an opportunity to show her stuff.
