“The next big thing in Turkish basketball” is what coach Akdağ’s called this young power forward. And he doesn’t stop there either. The coach thinks Çağlar will be the best player on the team in a few years as she has the complete inside-outside game that modern basketball demands. The Izmir native is an all-around talent, but lacks the experience and despite being tailor-made talent wise to Turkey’s strategy, she doesn’t yet possess the tools to operate efficiently in it.
