Guidelines of the Use of Marks by Non-Commercial Entities and Media at the EuroBasket Women 2007

The Official Marks that have been created and developed for the EuroBasket Women 2007 are protected in many countries around the world by trademark registration, copyright and/or intellectual property laws.
FIBA Europe encourages all non commercial entities, included but not limited to the National Federations of Basketball, to use the Official Marks of the EuroBasket Women 2007, FIBA Europe’s biggest competition with or adjacent to non-commercial purposes.
The Official Marks may be used for non-commercial purposes only.
However, care should be taken to use them correctly in strict compliance with the rules written below:
- The Official Marks must not appear in such a way as to suggest an association with anyone’s trade name, logo or other marks or their goods and/or services.
- The Official Marks cannot be used in a commercial or promotional manner, including (without limitation) to any advertising campaigns, on any products, in any competition, game, lottery or other type of contest.
- The Official Marks must not be used in such a way as to give the impression that the message is in any way “official” or endorsed by FIBA Europe / Local Organising Committee.
- The Official Marks must not be altered, animated, cropped, enlarged or used disproportionately in size to any other material appearing on any media.
- The Official Marks may not be used in “top-level domain” website URL identification (e.g. www.eurobasketwomencoverage.com, www.eurobasketwomen.net). Additionally the Official Marks may not be incorporated into a URL identification which precedes the domain name for use in relation to websites or web pages which contain commercial content (e.g. www.eurobasketwomen.yournewspaper.com is not permitted).
- The Official Marks can be used as a link to www.eurobasketwomen2007.com it must not be used as a link to any other website, any other part of a website, or any other feature of a website (e.g. multimedia and games).
