Finland continued their preparations for the 2007 EuroBasket Women qualifiers with an 81-59 defeat by Turkey.

Taru Tuukkanen poured in 16 points and Reet Piirari added 10 to the Finland total, while Esmeral Tuncluer and Yasemin Horasan each contributed 20 points to Turkey's winning margin.

Turkey had stormed into a 24-15 first-quarter advantage but Finland hit back to trail 38-31 at the break.

Turkey extended their lead in the third period with a 23-10 run before sealing the win with a 20-18 final-quarter advantage.

Finland face Serbia & Montenegro on September 9 before a home tie in Helsinki with Romania four days later.

Turkey play Ukraine away on September 6 followed by home ties against Israel on September 9 and Slovenia four days later.
