The Polish women's side look to have some serious work to do before their EuroBasket qualifiers begin in September after losing all four matches in the Tournament of 10 nations in Chieti, Italy.
Poland lost the first game of the competition 78-51 to the hosts with Ewelina Kobryn's 13 points the only real positive for a side who were outplayed 21-8 in the final quarter to seal the tie.
They improved in their second game, against Lithuania, but they still found themselves on the losing side, going down 62-57.
Paulina Pawlak scored 15 points with Justyna Zurowska and Kobryn each adding 10 in a losing cause.
In their third match of the tournament things got off to a much better start as they took a 26-15 first quarter lead over Serbia & Montenegro.
They fell behind after they failed to reach that standard in the second and third quarters and despite a comeback in the closing stages they could not avoid a 69-64 defeat.
Elzbieta Miedzik was the best performer on that occasion, contributing an impressive 26 points.
Their final game of the competition, against Germany, brought them even closer to victory but it was not to be as they left Italy winless.
The match was neck-and-neck all the way but the Germans eventually edged out their opponents 44-42 in a tight, low-scoring affair which saw no Polish players reach double figures.
Poland gave away a five-point deficit in the first quarter and despite winning two and drawing one of the next three they could not push their way into the lead, leaving big question marks over their preparations for the EuroBasket Women qualifiers which they begin with a rematch against Germany on September 6.
