There are many interesting things to see in Vasto including the “Picture gallery”, the “Civic Museum” and the “Habit Museum”.

The “Picture Gallery” holds esteemed works of art created by the “Scuola Napoletana of 1800”. Ten rooms with great art works also created by Palazzi Brothers.

The “Civic Museum” is the most ancient in Abruzzo. Founded in 1849 by the mayor Pietro Muzii, it collected several items offered by the Vastesi and offers an interesting look at the history of the region.

The “Habit Museum” recall the past with habits, clothes and furniture belonging to aristocratic families.

Vasto Farther Afield

The nearby Natural Reserve of Punta Aderci was set up in 1998. This area, wich has wondeful vegetation and interesting geology, is a superb spot for bird waiching. Spring is the best season to visit but summer is the idealtime for bathing and diving.
