Bosnia and Herzegovina and Great Britain booked their spots in Division A Wednesday night with wins over Norway and the Netherlands respectively.

Both teams won comfortably on aggregate though Great Britain struggled for the second win, getting 14 points and 10 rebounds from Megan Moody in recording a 60-58 victory.

Heart of a champion, how many players today can claim that they have it?

In the modern game of basketball, with all of the pressures on the players to perform, many are putting money, club interests and agents above the national team.

Portugal's Sonia Reis has admitted she surprised even herself after putting in a superb performance to lift her side to victory over Great Britain and into a strong position in Group B of the Division B EuroBasket Qualifiers.

The 22-year-old tore apart the British with 29 points and 15 rebounds in Saturday's 72-54 win in Nottingham.

Bosnia-Herzegovina broke open a close game in the fourth quarter to win at Luxembourg and remain undefeated after four games in EuroBasket Division B.

Milica Deura had 18 points to pace the team from the Balkans, who prevailed 71-55.

Sonia Reis scored 29 points and pulled in 15 rebounds as Portugal went on to defeat Great Britain 72-54 in the EuroBasket Women Qualifying Round on Saturday evening.

Portugal stormed out to a 26-15 lead, thanks largely to some  strong inside play from Reis, and early indications were that the hosts would be in for a long night.

Helga Sverrisdotir scored 20 points as Iceland beat Ireland 68-56.

Sverrisdotir, despite being only 17 years of age, also had 13 rebounds and seven assists.
