Abruzzo is known for its agricultural and pastoral traditions and offers visitors a great choice of flavoures and smells.

The traditional Abruzzo’s cuisine can be defined as a variety of different flavors around typical dishes from every single province.

Specialities are the “Ventricina” and the “Mozzarelle Passite”.

But sweets are the areas specialty: “bocconotti”, “tortellette di pasta frolla with chocolate”, “faucet” and “toasted almond” are just a few of the choices.

Popular all aver Europe, the DOC wines of Abruzzo (white, red and rosè), have in recent years won many international awards and prizes and are served in the best restaurants all over the world.  The traditional Wines include, Trebbiano for the whites and Montepulciano for the reds. Recently area vineyards have started making Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Aglianico, Sangiovese and Pinot as well.
