Career: Deerlijk (Belgium-D1, 1999-2004), Waregem (Belgium-D1, 2005-2008)

Medvedeva was born in Turkmenistan and played six seasons in Ukraine with Donetsk where she saw some European competition (Ronchetti Cup). She came to Belgium in 1999 to play for Deerlijk until 2004 and has been with Waregem since 2005.  The 31-year-old became a Belgian citizen on the 14th of January 2003. During the additional qualifying round, she played for the first time with the National Team averaging 4.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists. Last season, back after a break to have a child, she played in the qualification for EuroBasket Women and quickly regained her rhythm, averaging 7.0 points and 4.3 rebounds. This will be her first EuroBasket Women final round appearance.
