Troina does not have the speed to push her scoring abilities to the higher level, but she has an open mind and the patience to be a good team player. Troina finished her senior year at the University of South Carolina by getting her team to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. An average of 9.1 points per game did not give her a chance for a WNBA tryout but Troina remained hopeful of getting a contract from a European side. After a period of waiting, she took a chance and signed with a Polish second division club, where she finished the year as the league's best scorer (25.8 ppg) and earned a contract from Lotos Gdynia, the top team in Poland. After Lotos decided to change the roster in 2005, Troina spent a season and a half in Israel, then returned to Lotos where she poured in 12.7 points per game in league games. Troina is the wife of Andrey Krivonos, the captain of Belarusian men’s National Team.
