Career: Recklinghausen (Germany, 2001/2002), Dorsten (Germany-Bundesliga, 2002-2007)
At 24 years of age, Natalie Gohrke still has room to grow but considering that she has been playing the game of basketball for just ten years, her development thus far is impressive. Gohrke started her athletic career as a water polo keeper but was forced out of the pool due to a chlorine allergy. Now in her fourth season for Germany’s powerhouse BG Dorsten, Natalie finished the championship as runner-up and added four points and nearly as many rebounds to the team’s success. Still raw, Gohrke has long arms and can play on the wing as well as under the basket. The 1.80 meter forward likes to attack the hoop and runs the floor well.
