Dreimane is a good three-point shooter with an original style. She grew up in a small town (Cesis) with great basketball traditions, but since the age of 15 she has bounced around with different clubs in Riga. The 1.76 meter shooting guard was an important part of the Latvian team at the 2005 U20 European Championship and helped her country win a bronze medal. Prior to EuroBasket Women 2005, Dreimane took part in National Team practices and a few preparation games but was not included on the team’s final roster. Last year she averaged 14.8 points per game in the Latvian Championship and was one of the leaders for co-champions Avantis/Turiba. She is still a work in progress but the 22-year-old could surprise everyone in 2007.
