Career: TTT Riga (Latvia-LSBL, 2001-06), Szolnok (Hungary-A Division, 2006-07)
Eglite is a real team player, patient and unselfish with good passing and rebounding skills. Her first appearance for the National Team was just a month before EuroBasket 2005 when the main point guards got injured and Latvia urgently needed a replacement. At the beginning, Eglite was not a first choice but her coolness and stability convinced her coach otherwise. She became an important part of the team and, in the Final Round, played 22 minutes per game. She'll never be a great scorer but Eglite is a good enough supporting player though injuries have slowed her improvement the last few years, thus resulting in less playing time with the National Team. Last season, the Riga native got her first international experience at club side Szolnok in Hungary, where she was one of the key players, averaging 7.9 points and 3.6 assists per game.
