Turkey look like the team to beat in Group B of EuroBasket Women qualifying.

After rolling to wins in their first two games, Turkey dispatched Slovenia in convincing fashion with an 87-63 victory in Kayseri on Wednesday.

Center Yasemin Horasan was particularly effective for the home side as she scored 20 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 4 assists.

Turkey grabbed the lead for good after just eight minutes, but were unable to pull away until the third quarter.

A 12-0 run to start the quarter was a sign of things to come for Slovenia who from a 40-36 halftime score, trailed 52-36 after just four minutes of play.

Turkey rolled to a 70-48 lead at the 30-minute mark and the game was already out of reach for Slovenia.

Esmeral Tungluer continued her impressive form for Turkey with 17 points and 6 rebounds while Sebnem Kimyacioglu added 16 and 7.

Turkey will look to continue their unbeaten streak against Ukraine on Saturday in Kayseri while Slovenia face Israel.
