Bourges center Sonja Kireta is to play for Croatia at the EuroBasket Women in Italy this year, the country's basketball federation has confirmed on its website.

The 1.98m Kireta, who is now 30 years old, averaged 9.3 points and 7.5 rebounds a game last year for the French giants to help them reach the EuroLeague Women Final Four in Vidnoje, Russia.

Kireta last played for her country four years ago in qualifying.

Croatia will be in Group D with Serbia, Spain and Belarus.
