Career: Gorizont Minsk (Belarus-Div. 1, 1999-02), Calais (France-NF1, 2002-03), Dynamo Moscow (Russia-Superleague, 2003-06), Baltiyskaya Zvezda Saint-Petersburg (Russia-Superleague, 2004-05-loan), Dinamo-Energia Novosibirsk (Russia-Superleague, 2006-07)

Katya Snytsina’s parents were both professional basketball players so it is easy to understand why both daughters decided to pick up the sport. Katya’s older sister Olya did not choose to have a career in sports after finishing at Drexel University. But younger Katya, who was always considered to be more talented, began her career in France. The stay did not last long but was enough to draw the attention of Russian powerhouse Dynamo Moscow.  Snytsina was too young to compete with the more experienced veterans on the team and she did not get the amount of playing time she was looking for.  In the summer of 2006 National Team coach Anatoly Buyalski organized her transfer to Dinamo-Energiya Novosibirsk where Snytsina became the second-leading scorer, averaging 12.2 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.  The 22-year-old is quite emotional but never afraid to take clutch shots helping Belarus in some difficult moments of Division A games last year.
