Podobed has at times had a rocky career with the National Team, but she is a very talented point guard with the scoring abilities of a classic shooting guard. After playing for the National Team in 2001, Padabed was thought to have a conflict with coach Anatoly Buyalski. Whatever the problem, it was soon solved when Buyalski took over Dinamo-Energia Novosibirsk during 2005-2006 season. Padabed was one of key players for that team averaging 14.1 points with four assists and 2.2 steals per game. Olga expressed her desire to play for Belarus again and went on to help them earn their first EuroBasket Women appearance. In 2006-2007 she began in Russia but played only eight games for Dynamo Moscow Region and after a short stint in Belarus, she finished the season in Latvia where she tallied her usual impressive numbers (15.8 ppg, 3.9 apg, 2.9 spg in 30.1 minutes).
