Fast, small and always smiling, Marchanka likes to attack and to dish Magic Johnson-like passes. The 28-year-old broke 11 season and career records while playing for Fairleigh Dickinson University in the NCAA, eventually becoming the third all-time leading scorer in school history and among the top ten in conference history. She finished her senior season ranked among the top players in her conference in eight categories, leading the Knights in scoring (16.6), assists (5.7), three-pointers made, steals and three point percentage. Marchanka spent two seasons playing for a small Polish club called Meblotap. She played more than 35 minutes per game and averaged 11.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game in 2005-2006 which prompted a move to Russia to play in Novosibirsk with Belarus National Team coach Anatoly Buyalski. Her stats in the Russian Superleague were quite impressive as she averaged 9.9 points, 3.6 assists and 1.9 steals in 31.1 minutes of action per game. The Rechitsa native has been one of the key players for Belarus in the past two National Team campaigns, making a game-winning three-pointer in an important game against Norway that put them into first place in their Division B group.
