Career: Kosice, Ruzomberok, Sopron (Hungary), Gambrinus Brno (Czech Rep.-ZBL, 2002-03), Washington Mystics (USA-WNBA, 2003), Gambrinus Brno (Czech Rep.-ZBL, 2003-09).

The 29-year-old Zirkova is clearly one the most experienced player in Pokey Chatman's selection. Indeed she has been in the national team since the FIBA 1998 World Championship. She became a very important player for the squad during the Sydney Olympics in 2000, when she was only 20-years-old. Since 2003 she is the only leader of the team. In 2002, she joined one of the top teams in Europe in Gambrinus Brno. Last season, she averaged 8.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game in EuroLeague Women. Zirková is considered as one of the best European players on the shooting guard position. Her game is very dynamic. She is very tough in defence and smooth on the offensive end. The left-handed guard is very aggressive in one-on-one situations and can shoot from everywhere on the court. To make it short, Zuzana Zirková can do everything.
