Last summer Marie Ruzicková did not play much for the Slovakian national team during the Qualifying Round, and her playing time was lower compared to her previous international campaigns. But the center is still very young and her responsibilities can only increase. The 22-year-old has not played much in her homeland. In 2007 she moved to the Italian league. Last season, she played for Livorno, averaging 6.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. She is not a very effective offensive player in the paint but her high free-throw percentage can be very precious.
