Career: Kosice (Slovakia-Extraliga, 2002-09)Since she turned 20 years of age, Ivaná Jalcová has always played an important role on the Slovak Republic national team. It's a logical progression for a player that went through every youth national teams for her country, averaging for example 12.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game during the 2002 European Championship for Young Women (U21 at the time). Born and raised in Kosice, Ivaná has spent all or her career playing for the Slovakian powerhouse, winning the last 4 Extraliga titles while always producing around 13 points and 3 assists per game. After a splendid 2007-08 season (All-Extraliga First Team), Ivaná had to face various injuries this year but seems ready to come back for this EuroBasket Women 2009.
