Slovakia coach Vladimir Karnay has bemoaned his side's lack of strength in depth after seeing them go down 77-73 at home to Belgium to finish bottom of Group E.
The visitors had Ann Wauters to thank for their victory as she helped herself to 25 points, 11 rebounds and three assists.
Zuzana Zirkova was unlucky to be on the losing side after pouring in 31 points.
Belgium qualified for the EuroBasket Women after the result left them as one of the competition's best four second-placed sides.
Slovakia's final hope for a place in EuroBasket 2007 is the Additional Qualifying Round.
"We are all very disappointed," Karnay said.
"Our bench does not have the quality that we need.
"We have only a minimum of players who can play difficult games like this. We played very badly at the end of the match - it was the same in Latvia where we led more than 37 minutes.
"Some of our players are not experienced enough and important players were tired in the end. We did not protect our small advantage in the end."
Guard Ivana Jalcova, who weighed in with an impressive 24 points, agreed with Karnay's assessment.
"We are disappointed. This game showed we did not have enough power at the end again. We made mistakes at important moments."
