Career: Marburg (Germany-Bundesliga, 2001-2007)
The smallest player wearing a German jersey, Özen will probably not see too many minutes at her first EuroBasket Women. In her seventh season playing for Bundesliga Club BC Marburg, Özen established herself as the team’s fourth best scorer (9.2 ppg). The 1.69 meter guard is a solid three-point shooter (37.2 %), likes to run the fast break and dished out 2.3 assists per game. But turning over the ball three times a game for Marburg makes Özen a risk at the point guard position. Giving the starters some time to rest and acting as a spark for the offense will be her role at EuroBasket Women.
