Susanne Kernl is another rookie at the EuroBasket stage, but testing out new things has never been too much of a problem for Kernl. “Susi”, who started her studies in physics, used to navigate model aircrafts in her spare time, is now in her third year at Visby Ladies in Sweden and is close to getting her diploma in international relations. On the court Kernl is a hard-nosed forward who likes to attack the basket. Kernl averaged 9.1 points and 5.1 boards per game and helped Visby to reach the finals in 2006.  At her first EuroBasket Women, the 25-year-old is expected to help out whenever the starters need some rest.
