Alexandra Keil is the definition of a team player. As a defensive orientated player she has developed into a leader even without filling up the scoring column. In Marburg, where she has played since 2004, Keil was named the team’s captain. Averaging 4.4 points and just 2.1 rebounds a game, Keil is not a dominant player in her home team and don’t expect her to be outstanding at her first EuroBasket Women. But the 29-year-old isn’t shy about doing whatever is asked of her – even taking some of the leadership responsibilities.
