Latvia may be playing for first place in Group E of the 2007 EuroBasket Women when they take on Germany in the final game of the Vasto qualifying round.
With a victory, the Baltic nation would improve to 4-1 and are secured at least second place on their way to the quarter-finals in Chieti.
But should Belgium knock off the defending champions Czech Republic in the day's second match, Latvia would go top of the table with a win over the Germans.

Fröhlich will need to play well with only pride on the line.

Germany, on the other hand, are playing solely for pride after being eliminated on Sunday.
Last Time Out: Just two days after upsetting the defending champs Czechs, Germany crashed back to reality with a 76-63 loss to Turkey. Latvia knocked off the previously unbeaten Belgium 69-66.
Key Match-up: Ieva Kublina vs Linda Fröhlich- The Sacramento Monarchs power forward is Germany's main weapon and Kublina will be in charge of neutralising her.
X-Factor: Alexandra Müller- The German guard missed 17 straight shots after scoring a team-high 22 points in Germany's opening victory. She finally broke the drought with a late lay-up against Turkey and followed with a three-pointer. Look for her to light it up with nothing left to play for.
Key Stat: 38-24 – that was Latvia's rebounding advantage against a very strong Belgian front-line, including 15 offensive rebounds. Germany need to remain concentrated to control the boards.
Sounding Off: Latvia starlet Anete Jekabsone-Zogota: "We wanted to reach the quarter finals and this is what we had to do. Now we face Germany and we will have to be ready because they beat the Czech Republic so we cannot relax with this team either. We have to take them seriously.”
