Career: Force Majeure St. Petersburg (Russia-Superleague, 1995-97), University of Connecticut (USA-NCAA, 1997-2001), Gambrinus Brno (Czech Rep.-1Liga, 2001-02), Famila Schio (Italy-A1, 2002-03), UMMC Ekaterinburg (Russia-Superleague, 2003-04), CSKA Samara (Russia-Superleague, 2004-06), Spartak Moscow Region (Russia-Superleague, 2006-07)

Svetlana Abrosimova was a member of the St. Petersburg school #86’s legendary graduating class in which Maria Stepanova and Ilona Korstin were her classmates.  A fabulous all-around player, Abrosimova is a legit triple-double threat every time out due to her versatility. The 27-year-old is rarely at her best playing for the National Team which can be explained by her conflict with former head coach Vadim Kapranov that almost caused her to end her international career.
