| Career: CSKA Samara (Russia-Superleague, 1997-2007)
A product and symbol of CSKA Samara basketball, Olga Arteshina has enjoyed the taste of success since her teens. At only 17 she was called-up for the 2000 Olympics and even gained some playing time in Sydney. Three years later Arteshina was still the youngest member of the team and a starter for the gold medal winning Russian team at EuroBasket Women 2003. Making it into the starting line-up wasn’t too difficult for Arteshina who can shoot the lights out from anywhere on the floor owing to her quick release and wonderful touch. However, she sometimes suffers from inconsistency and has a tendency to disappear on cold shooting nights. | |
